What we collect, who we give it to, and how to make us stop.

Who we are
Herald is operated by ARB RECRUITMENT - NYC, LLC, 201 West 72nd Street, Apt. 18-G, New York, NY 10023, United States ("Herald", "we"). We are the business responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Privacy questions and requests: support@hireherald.com or 914-600-5488.
What we collect
- What you give us: name, mobile number, email, field, specialty, state, work type, and optionally your experience level and availability.
- What your browser gives us: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the page that referred you.
- Consent records: the date, time, IP address and the exact wording of the consent you were shown when you submitted the form.
Why we collect it
To match you with employers who are hiring for the work you told us you want, and to let those employers contact you about it. We also use aggregate data to understand which fields and states we need more briefs in.
Who we share it with
Employers and recruiters with an open brief matching your field, state and work type. They receive it in order to contact you about those roles. We require them by contract not to pass it on, and not to contact you about anything else.
We also use service providers for hosting, email and phone delivery, and analytics. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights.

We respond within 15 business days for opt-out requests and within 45 calendar days for access and deletion requests, as required by applicable state law.
Sale and sharing of personal information
Under California and several other state privacy laws, passing your details to employers in exchange for payment may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information. We treat it as such, which is why the opt-out link appears on every page of this site.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or for 24 months after your last interaction with us, whichever comes first. Consent records are kept for the period required to demonstrate compliance.
Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and access is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure and we won't pretend otherwise.
Changes
If we make material changes we'll update the date at the top and, where required, notify you directly.
